STEVEN HASKOS, ESQ.

Steven Haskos, Esq.

Steven heads the firm’s appellate practice, representing individuals before the Board of
Immigration Appeals, the Administrative Appeals Office, and state and federal courts. Steven
has almost ten years of experience in challenging removal orders issued by the Immigration
Court, as well as unfavorable decisions issued by United States Citizenship and Immigration
Services. In federal court, Steven has a healthy caseload of petitions before the Second Circuit
Court of Appeals. He has won or earned remand of several cases therein. He also has substantial
experience handling Habeas Corpus petitions in the Southern District of New York.

Steven also focuses on family law, representing individuals in the Family Court of the State of
New York as well as in the Supreme Court of the State of New York. The family court practice
began largely with the representation of families in pursuing Special Immigrant Juvenile Status
for children under 21 who arrived in the United States to escape poverty, crime, or abuse in their
native countries. SIJS, as it is popularly known, is procured first through the issuance of a family
court order of dependency. Steven and the Law Office of Craig Relles are very proud of
securing SIJS – which allows the child to later apply for legal permanent residency – for roughly
75 children. Steven has broadened the office’s footprint in family law, regularly representing
individuals in divorce, custody, guardianship, adoption, family offense, and other proceedings.

Steven graduated from Providence College and Pace Law School, where he was a member of the
Pace International Law Review.
